Putin to meet President Bush and CEOs of US top oil companies

MOSCOW — On the last day of his working visit to the US, September 16, Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet US President George Bush and managers of the US top oil companies. The chiefs of the two states will handle the issues of fighting terrorism, prevention and liquidation of consequences of natural disasters and man-caused accidents. They will also discuss the prospects of bilateral cooperation for non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.

Besides, the two Presidents will consider commercial and economic relations between Russia and the US, and developments in the former USSR states.

During his stay in Washington, President Putin will meet heads of three US top oil companies: ConocoPhilips, Chevron and Texaco. It is presumed that they will look into the possibility of more mutually profitable oil projects.
