1. Ramstore City

Forget the day and spend an entire weekend here! You can shop for everything from ascots to zucchini in this gigantic mall, eat at a KFC and then take in a movie at Moscow’s only IMAX movie theater. Fun for the entire family!

2. Transvaal Waterpark

Moscow’s premiere water park offers an array of slides, chutes and pools to play around and splash in as well as a cafe and some wild parties at night. Forget about the icy chill and take a dip in a heated wave pool!

3. Pushkin Museum

Perhaps the best museum in town, you can easily spend a day exploring the many rooms and halls of the Pushkin Museum and still not see everything. Their permanent exhibits display works of great European artists, as well as those from the East.

4. Central House of Artists

This exhibition center always has dozens of exhibits – from photography to painting to video installations – going on concurrently. Open Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Mondays from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Entrance fees are low at only 5-20 rubles!

5. Dr. Loder SPA-Center

Not only a beauty salon, but also a general wellness center that offers all the latest spa treatments. Spend a day letting the trained beauticians, dieticians and doctors cure the tension in your winter-worn body and restore the moisture that the dry season has sucked out of you.

6. Gorbushka

This is the perfect place to stock up on all those movies, CDs and home appliances that will keep your home cozy for the coming months. Take a day and spend it here because this place is so large you’ll need to take your time to explore it.

7. Mega Mall

Brace yourself for mega shopping and fun at this Mega Mall. Get everything you need for the house at the IKEA store before taking the kids to go ice-skating on the indoor rink. Round out your day with a dinner at Ruby Tuesday’s and a movie at the newly opened cinema!

8. Tretyakov Gallery

These galleries (both the old and new) have earned quite the reputation – and it’s well-deserved! Make sure to check out the Andrey Goncharyov exhibit at the New Tretyakov that runs until Feb. 29, which would mark the 100th birthday of the artist if he were still living.

9. Lel children’s club

Let your child have some fun with you! Spend a day at the best children’s club in Moscow and check out the jungle gyms, slides, mazes, circus, clowns and wonderful menu. Each Saturday, the center puts on a play. There’s even a discount system for regular customers, so make it a habit to come here often!

10. Okhotny Ryad

This old standby is nothing to scoff at. If you’re looking to get our of your house, but still want to stay warm, drop by this place in the heart of Moscow. Shop by day and party by night at such places as Phlegmatic Dog Pub and the Downtown entertainment center.
