Cockfights are now taking place on the summer patio shared by the eastern cuisine restaurants Beloye Solntse Pustyni and Uzbekistan every Monday at 8:30 p.m. Before the show, the audience is given lectures on the history of cockfighting in Russia and in eastern countries.
Each Monday show features three fights, each lasting from two to 10 minutes. The loser is the cock that runs away from its opponent or tries to escape from the ring. But the show is purely for entertainment: betting is prohibited.

City Grill reopens
The City Grill restaurant, which closed for remodeling two years ago, has finally reopened. Now it is spread over two levels, seats 85 customers at a time, and has an updated interior featuring colors of terra cotta, black and gray.
The management describes the food as "modern urban style" and the menu includes American, European and eastern dishes.

New chef, new style
The Cutty Sark seafood restaurant has a new chef, Georgy Gerasimov. To make his mark on the restaurant, Gerasimov has introduced a new menu, which now features Mediterranean dishes and contains a special seafood list. The restaurant has also changed its style of service, and lowered the prices slightly.
